The Hogue Ballista I Automatic Knife is a high-performance automatic folder engineered for speed, safety, and real-world reliability. Built in the USA with premium materials and precision machining, it delivers fast deployment backed by serious structural strength.
At its core is a 3.5-inch 154CM stainless steel tanto blade, cryogenically heat treated for enhanced toughness and edge retention. The tanto profile with partial serrations provides excellent piercing capability while maintaining strong utility cutting performance. A hand-honed flat grind ensures smooth, efficient slicing across a wide range of tasks.
The blade is finished in a durable black Cerakote coating, adding corrosion resistance and a low-profile tactical look while protecting the steel from wear. With a hardness rating of 57–59 HRC, it strikes a balance between durability and ease of maintenance.
The handle is constructed from 6061-T6 hard anodized aluminum, finished in matte black with a fluted texture for improved grip security. Despite its strength, the knife remains lightweight and comfortable for everyday carry.
Deployment is handled by an automatic button system paired with a manual safety, allowing fast activation while preventing accidental firing in pocket or gear. The safety locks the blade both open and closed, adding an extra layer of operational security.
A deep-carry reversible pocket clip supports right or left-hand tip-up carry, while a lanyard hole provides additional carry and retention options. Every detail is designed for functional use in demanding environments.
